Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I shot this image on the day that gas prices, for the first time ever, had reached the two dollar a gallon price. It was quite a shock for everyone I knew, but soon enough it was going to get worse.
It was rather fitting that the sky was cloudy. Sometimes a photograph is more about what we feel than what we see. Trying to keep that feeling alive all these years later can be quite difficult.
